Help / Working with log book / Importing records from another application
If you already has log book records in other program or Excel spreadsheet then you probably want to move the data to Track-Album.
Track-Album can import records from CSV file (Comma Separated Values).
If you records has references to tracks then you shpold import those tracks prior to importing the records:
Select File/Import tracks menu, Select track files (to select several files press and hold Ctrl).
CSV file can be created using Microsoft Excel, here is the example: XLS file.
Open the XLS file, save it in CSV format and import content into Track-Album. (Close Excel before import or else it locks CSV file).
File format:
- first line is a comment line
- second line - a list of fields
- further come data lines
- date format: dd.mm.yyyy
- time format: hh:mm
- track names must be without file extension, just like they look in the track list
After CVS file is created:
- select File/Import Records menu
- select CSV file
- Look through loaded data (problem lines are higlighted in red, moving mouse to them shows tooltip) and confirm it
